The Tallest Realtor in Town

Hill Country and Highland Lakes Real Estate Blog by Jeff Spears, 6 ' 7" Tall.
Client's Best Interests Must Come First

A good Realtor abides strictly by the National Association of Realtors Code of Ethics.  The best interests of the clients must always come first.  Before you sign an agreement to be represented by an agent, make sure you feel comfortable your needs and best interests are the top priority.

Your agent must be an expert in the area in which they serve.  If they are not familiar and regularly practice in the area in which you are seeking property, they are doing you a great dis-service.  The agent must also show you a good variety of homes and property that meet your needs.  It is unethical to steer you towards their own listings or just those of their company.  The agent must state only factual evidence about a property and not exaggerate or misrepresent any aspects to lead you into a sale.

Current market conditions have been hard on everyone.  Some agents may compromise their ethics in order to make a sell, out of desperation.  Make sure you are not the object of their flaws.  Feel free to ask your agent about their success rate in these challenging times.

If you feel you are not receiving the type of service described above, make a change!  Purchasing property is a major investment and you deserve only the most ethical of treatment from your agent.
