The HLAoR serves the Highland Lakes region of the Texas Hill Country

The Highland Lakes area of Central Texas is comprised of a string of 6 lakes sourced by the Colorado River. Burnet and Llano counties include Lake Buchanan, Inks Lake, Lake LBJ and Lake Marble Falls in the upper end of the series. Wildlife and activities are abundant.

LCRA reminds lakeside water users to get a contract	3/3/2010 11:00 AM
LCRA is mailing information to lakeside residents reminding them that a contract is required to take water directly from the Highland Lakes. About 5,000 residents who own property within 500 feet of the Highland Lakes will receive a letter and application for a domestic use water contract. Residents who already have a contract or do not take water from the lakes can disregard the letter. The Highland Lakes include lakes Buchanan, Inks, LBJ, Marble Falls, Travis and Austin.
